Our client, a leader in the hospitality industry is looking for an experienced IT Director to oversee advanced Network/InformationTechnology functions for all departments and properties within the organization.

Leading a team of five professionals the successful candidate will be a hands on manager with the flexibility to deal with a 24/7 operations while managing conflicting priorities in this high growth operation. 

Education/
Experience:
  • Proven experience and successful track record as IT Director or similar role
  • BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be considered a definite asset.
  • Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
  • Experience in controlling information technology budget
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and customer service abilities
  • Experience in project management, security, PCI compliance
  • Property management or hospitality background a definite asset
Responsibilities/
Requirements:
  • Oversee all technology operations (e.g. network security) and evaluate them according to established goals
  • Oversee all networks, including but not limited to Microsoft Active directory,
  • SQL database 2005, 2008, 2012, 2016; Windows 2003, 2008, 2014, 2016
  • Manager a wide range of LAN/WAN technology including, but not limited to, switches, routers, VPN, and firewalls (knowledge of Watchguard Firewall would be considered an asset)
  • Knowledge and experience with Citrix Virtualization, XenApp, Xendesktop 3, 4, 5, Xenserver is a necessity
  • Extensive knowledge in PMS systems and interfaces with other key systems such as PBX Voicemail, In-room, Key Card services would be considered an asset (Northwind Maestro)
  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
  • Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management
  • Coordinate IT managers and supervise computer technicians and other professionals to provide guidance
  • Control budget and report on expenditure
  • Assist in building solid relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
