Description:

The Researcher/Community Engagement Coordinator will enhance service delivery to child victims of abuse and their non-offending family members throughout the regional community.

Education/
Experience:

Demonstrated skills and experience:
• Organizational (including event organization) and prioritization.
• Researching, writing, proofreading and editing.
• In the full range of Microsoft Office.
• Oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of community resources.
• French reading/writing ability and related experience are assets.

Related post-secondary education preferred; or commensurate experience.

Responsibilities/ Requirements:

  • Organize and facilitate a Community Roundtable to identify and respond to service gaps.
  • Research and assess the relevance of the roles of Child Advocate and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.
  • Develop a French language brochure.
  • Make recommendations to increase awareness and prevention of child abuse.
  • Implement strategies to improve access to the Centre’s information and resources.
  • Support existing volunteer program development and delivery to partner agencies.
  • Evaluate outcomes.
  • Write a report with recommendations that would be helpful to other Canadian Child Advocacy Centres.
  • Back-up reception, as required.
