QUESTION:

I arrived in Canada about a year ago and started with factory jobs which was like temporary arrangement for a newcomer like me. I did my Masters in Public Management from India and have about 14 years of job experience in multi-national companies. Now I have enrolled for HR Admin from Humber College alongwith Co-op training from a Learning Centre in Mississauga, as temporary factory jobs are not my area of work. Please advice whether is it a appropriate move to upgrade my credentials and will I be getting the desired job in my area of work after completing the course and Co-op training as well?

ANSWER:

It was a very good move to upgrade your credentials and seek out a co-op training opportunity. The additional education/experience will be a definite asset in your future job search.
