Position Description

Education
 
  • Minimum of five years of related experience
  • Detailed, organized, thorough and accurate
  • Knowledge of building codes
  • Physically fit to perform tasks

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team while also maintaining individual tasks and deadlines

  • Education and Training: Red Seal Carpenter

Requirements
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Providing oversight on all aspects on the interior finishing of modular shipping container residential and commercial units
  • Managing overall day-to-day operations for the finishing carpentry crew
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and assign finishing carpentry tasks as needed
  • Understanding the project scope, budget and schedule
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, charts and tables
  • Monitoring or observing operations to ensure that they meet production standards
  • Recommending adjustments to the process or assembly
  • Ensuring all company-owned equipment and tools are available, in good working order, and properly stored
  • Participating in the design & validation of fixtures and adjusting to improve efficiency and productivity within the production and fabrication process
  • Ensuring standards for safe working conditions are observed
